About extracting text from a PDF
The tool reads the selectable text in your PDF and returns it as a plain .txt file. Formatting such as fonts, columns, and images is not carried over, only the text.
It does not read scanned PDFs, because those contain pictures of text and need OCR, which is not supported yet. It works best on PDFs exported from word processors or websites.
